Welcome to Crescent Community Clinic

Crescent Community Clinic is committed to providing access to free health care for Hernando County adults, ages 18 to 64, who do not have any insurance, including Medicaid or Share of Cost and who meet Federal Poverty Guidelines. The Clinic does not receive any government funding and relies on the donations from our patients, businesses, social and service organizations, foundations and individuals. No patient is ever turned away due to inability to donate.

Our Health Care Clinics and Health Literacy Programs

Chronic Health Clinic provides screenings for the following chronic health conditions:

Arthritis, Asthma, Cancer, Diabetes, C.O.P.D., Emphysema, Epilepsy, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Obesity and Urology. On a very limited basis physicians may refer patients to our partners  for their chronic health conditions. No narcotics or pain medication is ever prescribed at the Clinic. Licensed providers diagnose and treat patients.

Mental Health Clinic provides psychotherapy, counseling and prescriptions for diagnosed mental illnesses. Clinic does not provide any alcohol or drug use services for patients. No narcotics or controlled medication is ever prescribed at the Clinic. Licensed psychiatrists, therapists and counselors provide appropriate mental health services. Small group sessions are also available.

Alternative Health Clinic provides access to the Bio Magnetic Amethyst Mat and Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Frequency Device as a method of addressing pain and suffering without the use of medication which may have serious side effects or become addictive. The Mat provides a soothing answer to overwhelmed minds and aching bodies. Crystal therapies have been used for centuries b scientists and healers. The Mat delivers infrared light waves and balancing negative ion therapy, which may alleviate depression, insomnia, inflammation, anxiety, low energy, body aches and pains. The Mat may also boost the immune system, circulatory system and metabolism.

Pharmaceutical Prescription Assistance Program is available to help low-income and indigent patients who have a Medicaid Denial Letter to receive up to a year of medication that the manufacturers provide at no cost to the patient.

‘Tools to Quit’ Smoking Cessation Program conducted by GulfCoast North Area Health Education provides a two-hour class once a month. Under this program the patient may receive nicotine patches, gum or lozenges and counseling to quit use of tobacco products. All new patients who use tobacco products are required to attend the smoking cessation program.

Diabetes Education and Glucose Testing Kit provides diabetic patients with meal planning education at no cost. The G.E. glucose testing monitor with lancets and strips is available for a minimal cost.

Health Literacy Programs for patients with hypertension and obesity - patients are strongly encouraged to participate in individual education programs.

How to Apply for Services

If you have a health condition or mental health diagnosis you may be eligible for services. Bring a photo ID and Social Security Card, proof of income and residency with you on Weekdays except Thursday between 9am & 2pm to complete application. You will be given an appointment to see a provider within a reasonable amount of time.
